The farm was bought in 1970 by the late Mr. Johann C. Meintjes who established one of the first citrus farms on the Blyde River, in the Hoedspruit area. To date it is still managed and run by the Meintjes family. For over 40 years the Meintjes family has been cultivating citrus.
Moriah Citrus Estates (Pty) Ltd has played a leading role in the industry over the years. As a result of a new deregulated marketing environment, it became an independent marketing company in 1999, with a vision to become a leader in world markets.
